We are excited to announce that Ed Kuzemchak, CTO of Software Design Solutions (SDS), will be speaking at IoT World on May 17, 2018. The topic to be covered is “MQTT —The Lingua Franca of IoT.” Read on to find out why you need to attend this IoT World session.
Successful IoT deployments require systems to work on many different devices. There is no single high-level communication protocol for IoT devices, and there will probably never be one. Domain-specific or system-specific high-level protocols will be required.
MQTT (Message Queueing Telemetry Transport) is a technology for building robust protocols that can more easily intercommunicate. It provides a standardized message delivery and queueing mechanism upon which edge nodes, gateways, and cloud solutions can build robust domain-specific or equipment-specific protocols. It is usable in low-power, low-bandwidth wireless and hard-wired Ethernet. MQTT is also available on open-source, proprietary, and software-as-a-service platforms.
If you’re not already familiar with this technology or are not aware of its full power for IoT deployments, you’ll want to hear what Ed has to say. In his talk, Ed will discuss the technology behind MQTT, the queueing techniques, and more. The presentation is scheduled for May 17, 2018 from 2:40 pm – 3:10 pm.
Internet of Things World is the biggest IoT event, showcasing the latest IoT technologies and strategies. The event runs from May 14 – 17, 2018 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California.
