In early April, the LoRa Alliance announced a new option that allows companies producing IoT devices to obtain LoRaWAN certification without requiring them to become members of the LoRaWAN Alliance. This new program will result in an increased number of LoRaWAN certified devices, which will positively impact organizations (and individuals) using IoT devices. In order to achieve the certification, devices must meet certain requirements pertaining to security and reliability.
