State of the Edge is a research organization that recently published its “State of the Edge 2020” report. What caught our attention about the report is the addition of a forecast model that predicts a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 35 percent and a $700 billion CAPEX spend on edge IT and data center infrastructure between the current year and 2028.
The report goes on to break down which industries will see the biggest focus on edge computing and digs into the “re-architecting of the internet driven by edge computing.” At SDS, we have already been focusing on the edge as a better way to design IoT systems, so we are pleased to see edge computing getting the attention it deserves in this report. This report is a must-read for all IoT executives.
