At SDS, we pride ourselves on staying up to date on the latest trends and developments in IoT and embedded systems. Our drive to make sure we’re always learning is what enables us to design and develop successful IoT applications and embedded systems for our clients, again and again.
As 2021 continues to unfold, there are a few IoT technologies making a real impact. A recent article discusses five of these emerging technologies, and we highly recommend taking a few minutes to read about them. Here are a few highlights, though, to get you started:
- Mesh sensors contain a wireless network of sensors that are becoming part of wearable tech. Forget about just gathering heart rate. One company is aiming to use mesh sensors to gather more specific data, including the body’s position in 3D space.
- TinyML is a new area of IoT technology focused on making it possible to run machine learning algorithms on small, low-power devices. We’re pretty excited about the potential use cases here, which range from improved data security in healthcare devices to predictive maintenance of equipment.
As these and other innovations continue to emerge, we’re dedicated to helping our clients take full advantage of them. Contact us if you have an idea for an IoT or embedded system. Maybe one of these new IoT technologies can help make your idea a reality.
